Programme Overview
The National Diploma Midwifery programme trains students in the knowledge and skills required for safe, evidence-based midwifery practice. Covering the full continuum of maternal and newborn care, the curriculum integrates classroom learning with hands-on clinical experience.
Students undertake rotations in antenatal clinics, labour and delivery wards, postnatal units, and neonatal care areas. Simulation training prepares students for normal and complicated deliveries before they enter live clinical environments.
Graduates are eligible for enrolment as Enrolled Midwives with the NMCN and may progress to the HND Midwifery programme with a Lower Credit or above.
