Programme Overview
The Higher National Diploma Nursing programme is designed for holders of an ND in Nursing who wish to deepen their clinical expertise, leadership capabilities, and research skills. The curriculum advances students from enrolled nurse competencies to the level expected of a fully Registered Nurse.
Students engage with complex clinical scenarios across medical, surgical, critical care, oncology, and community health settings. Leadership, management, and evidence-based practice modules prepare graduates for charge nurse and specialist roles.
Successful completion makes graduates eligible for full registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN) as Registered Nurses, opening doors to specialist practice, management, and further academic study.
