Programme Overview
The HND Midwifery programme advances the knowledge and clinical skills of ND Midwifery graduates to the level of a Registered Midwife. It addresses the full scope of contemporary midwifery practice, from high-risk obstetric management to reproductive health policy.
Students undertake advanced clinical rotations in tertiary hospital maternity units, covering high-dependency obstetric care, complex neonatal management, and reproductive health interventions. Leadership and research modules equip graduates to drive quality improvement in maternal and newborn health.
Upon successful completion, graduates are eligible for full registration with the NMCN as Registered Midwives, with pathways into specialist practice, midwifery education, or further academic study.
